Apinun!
Here's a summary of the past few days:
Met my PNG language helper, Joyce.
Studied the creation of Adam and Eve.
Found a roach in my bed.
Ate crocodile for lunch.
Went to the village market.
Installed a mosquito net over my bed.
Learned how to begin stitching a bilam.(well, I tried.)
Played games with the students and staff from Interface.
Studied the fall of Adam and Eve.
Found a flying cricket inside my mosquito net.
Bugged Joyce with questions. "How do you say that in pidgin?"
Learned to cook kaukau (sweet potato) over an open fire.
Talked with Frank about all that we are learning.
Gave up trying to keep my feet clean (it rains all the time here).
Re-installed my mosquito net.
Had a great conversation with one of the missionaries.
Spent time reflecting on the destiny of those who have not heard the Gospel.
Yikes! Just saw a mouse run by on the window ledge.
There is rarely a dull moment here, but we are learning so much. Please pray for me to stay strong physically. I had to miss a day of classes on Saturday when I was too worn out to keep going. God has been faithful to provide all that we need, and we thank you for your support and your prayers!

Philippians 4:19
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Way to Go Emily and Frank!!!!!
Praying for you guys.
I'm praying for you both every day. I'll zero in on physical stamina especially. Love your updates!
Wow! Sounds like you are stretching in new and exciting ways - well, rodents and insects are not that exciting, but the people who work there certainly are exciting. Will be praying for your experience and your stamina. Jim N.
Frank and Emily,
You are well prayed for here in snowy, cold Illinois. Remember, God made those crickets and mice, too!!!
It's so exciting to hear how God is revealing Himself to you. May He continue to do so as He keeps you in His tender, mighty care! Blessings, Kris
Frank and Emily,
Greetings from cold and wet Central Illinois! You are certainly in our thoughts and prayers. I am encouraged that we can rely on a Living Christ who can do all through us.
Anxious to hear about your trip in more detail.
Eric
