My Personal "Winter Low Points" So Far

1. Waiting 20 minutes for my car to warm up so I can chip off 1/2 inch of ice.

2. Hauling groceries from our refrigerator to the garage to keep them cold after an ice storm killed our electricity for 48 hours.

3. Hearing our church's Christmas Eve service was cancelled, since the parking lot was a sheet of ice.

4. Crawling on my hands and knees up the slope of my brother's driveway to keep my balance on the ice.

5. Working without internet for days at a time since the satellite antennae at church was covered with ice.

6. Sliding into a curb as I turned out of the Walmart parking lot. (Of COURSE it was because of the ice. I am a very good driver.)

And my personal favorite, from this afternoon:

6. Feeling my feet go out from under me and landing HARD on the very cold ground after slipping on the ICE.

Oh yes, it's been a lovely winter so far. (Can you detect my icy tone?)
