Emily's Words from PNG

Praise God! He sent the sun and wind (unusual here) on Wednesday, and last night I walked across campus on dry ground!

The road is open, and we are praying for continued dry weather as we are scheduled to leave for our side trip tomorrow morning.

Pray that our highlands destination will dry out as well. A plane with some of our supplies was unable to land today. We are hoping for better weather tomorrow.

We plan to return to ITF on Monday -- again, if the weather permits.

Please pray for safe flights, and for our hearts to be open to whatever the Lord can teach us through this trip. We'll send an update when we return next week.

Hope your time in the highlands was fantastic (and your anniversary enjoyable). We are caught up on your blog--and must say that your words capture things beautifully. Truly you are experiencing PNG and we are tracking with what you say (and what you dont say) :). We walked the beautiful grounds there at Interface, and have been able to literally picture what you described--though with less mud. Cant wait to hear more about your time. Please greet Janie Miles and thank her for the time she gave to us when we visited.

Frank & Emily,

It has been so fun to read your updates and "travel" with you! Can't wait to hear all about it in person -- we have been praying for you as a small group and as individuals. We are so glad the Lord has blessed your trip thus far. We love you and look forward to seeing you!

Blessings,
Rod, Cathy & Kids!

Daymen is doing a report on Australia -- I told him he should switch to PNG and use the "live updates" to inspire folks to pray for PNG! It's been awesome following your trip and getting a feel for what you are experiencing there.
